Terms of Service
Last updated: 2026-09-17
The service
Liaison, a service of comm.observer, connects an AI assistant (powered by Anthropic's Claude) to a WhatsApp number you control, using an unofficial method for linking to WhatsApp (not WhatsApp's official Business API).
Risks you accept
- WhatsApp may ban the connected number without warning for using an unofficial client. Do not connect a number you can't afford to lose.
- You are responsible for how the assistant behaves in any chat you add it to, including disclosing to participants that they're talking with an AI.
- The service must not be used for cold outreach — only in chats where participants have already agreed to be there.
You'll be asked to explicitly acknowledge these risks again during account setup, before connecting a number.
No warranty
The service is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, and are not liable for losses arising from WhatsApp account bans, message delivery failures, or assistant errors.
Acceptable use
Don't use the service for spam, harassment, illegal content, or to violate WhatsApp's own terms of service beyond the unofficial connection method itself.
Changes
We may update these terms as the service evolves; continued use after a change means you accept the update.
